The Saint Corentin Cathedral
A jewel of Breton Gothic art, Saint-Corentin Cathedral was built between 1239 and 1424. It takes its name from the legend of King Gradlon and the hermit Saint-Corentin. Historically, it was in 1239 that Bishop Reynaud decided to build St Corentin Cathedral on the foundations of an old Romanesque church.
The regional Breton museum
The Bishops' Palace next to the cathedral now houses the regional Breton Museum of 1846. From 18 June to 19 September 2021, an exhibition dedicated to art nouveau, presenting posters and works by the artist Alphonse Mucha, can be discovered. A permanent collection tracing the history of Brittany can also be visited.

The timbered houses in the historic centre
Nowadays, Quimper has 73 timbered houses dating from the first half of the 16th century to the 19th century. All in an excellent state of preservation, they allow you to imagine life at the time of the Dukes of Brittany.
The Locmaria district and the Henriot Quimper pottery works
Located on the left bank of the Odet river, to the south of the walled city, the Locmaria district is made up of its church (11th and 12th centuries) and a priory (17th and 18th centuries) which was home to a community of Benedictine nuns. Today it has been converted into a gastronomic restaurant.
Today the district is home to the famous Henriot pottery works, known internationally since 1960 for its tableware hand-painted.
