The diary for your summer 2018 in Fouesnant: the key dates for your camping vacations!

It’s summertime, and we’re all keen to get out and enjoy the fine weather and every moment of the vacation! To mark the occasion, we’ve put together a selection of the major summer events not to be missed during your camping holiday in Fouesnant, South Finistère! Culture, heritage, sport, relaxation, gastronomy, music, dance… there’s something for everyone!
Beg-Meil fireworks – Friday July 13
Every summer, fireworks displays are always a big hit with campers young and old! Don’t miss the one in Fouesnant, fired from the Beg-Meil slipway at 11pm! While you’re waiting, enjoy musical entertainment with the Santa Maria pirates (sea chanteys and songs in Breton) before the torchlight procession with Fouesnant’s Bagad Bro Foën. There’s plenty of food and drink on site, including grilled meats and crêpes!
Apple Festival – July 21 and 22
For over 100 years, the Fête des Pommiers de Fouesnant has been celebrating the apple – a true symbol of the Pays fouesnantais – and Breton traditions. On the program: cider and apple juice competitions, initiation to traditional dances, grilled dinner, sea chanteys, fest-noz, not forgetting the grand parade through the streets of Fouesnant with 4 bagadou and 4 Celtic circles, the most spectacular part of the festival! The weekend closes with the Triomphe des sonneurs, a show by the Ar Pintiged Foen Celtic Circle from Fouesnant, and a spectacular fireworks display!
Pintiged Mondays: July 9 to August 20
Take advantage of your camping vacation in South Finistère to learn the Breton dance! Now’s your chance! Every Monday throughout the summer, dancers from the Cercle Celtique de Fouesnant explain how to dance a gavotte or an an dro… Meet in front of the École de Kérourgué in downtown Fouesnant – and it’s free!
Kérambigorn Beach: July 9 to August 24
From Monday to Friday, Kerambigorn beach in Beg-Meil becomes a huge playground! Children aged 8 and over and teenagers discover a wide range of fun and sporting activities: beach volleyball, beach soccer, beach rackets, sandball, as well as table tennis, aquagym and climbing! (Please register in advance at the Fouesnant Town Hall)
Beg-Meil Tuesdays all summer long!
Every Tuesday from 7.30pm, concerts are scheduled at 3 different venues in the village of Beg-Meil! Sailors’ songs, blues, rock, reggae, electro… there’s something for everyone!

In the evening, crêpes, grills, concerts and fireworks at 11:15pm. Not to be missed!
Focus on Fouesnant’s pardons!
It would be a shame to spend a camping vacation in South Finistère and not attend a pardon, a popular Breton festival that’s part religious, part secular and above all very festive! They’re an integral part of Breton heritage. On the program: procession, open-air mass at the foot of the chapel, country-style meal and barbecues, stalls, games, folk festival with musical entertainment, bagad and Celtic circle!

- Sunday, August 5: Saint Guénolé pardon – Fête de la mer
- Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26: the Kerbader pardon
